Giveaway Of The Day is offering FREE to its visitors the video editing program Wondershare Video Studio Express.
Here is a brief description :
"This little gem of video editing tool is a big favorite among digital video editing beginners. As an easy yet powerful video editor, it permits you compile any movie or video projects regardless the size and format in a few simple steps.
You can add background music, scene transitions, and stylish movie effects to your video, or even edit the video and audio track as you wish."
Now there is something I would like to point out. It seems there is a little surprise inside this software.
You have to first download the setup file from here: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/wondershare-video-studio-express12/
And then start the installation. During the installation, I was offered third party downloads which I did not want on my computer. The offers may vary from computer to computer, but can be easily declined. I don't like software installers that do this , as I value security and privacy on my computer.
And to get a registration code for the software, when you are done installing, a window opens up where you have to give your name and email address to get the code.
Registration under Windows 7 was a royal pain in the butt, as the registration information did not take several times, so I had to adjust the compatibility settings under the shortcut for that program and select "Run As Administrator"
Finally an annoyance of the program, when you launch it, a big ad for GOTD users appears to try and get you to purchase an official permanent license for the program , it takes up a pretty good size portion of the window and its slightly annoying.
I've featured quite a few video converters in the past but this one seems to be more interested in selling you a program rather then being FREE. At least its not obnoxious as some other programs I've seen given away. Its not nag ware its just a minor annoyance
Because of this appearing in the installer, I went ahead and scanned the program directory with Avast Antvirus Free Edition and nothing bad was inside the program so aside from these minor annoyances the program appears to be safe.
This program is available until 11:59 PST where GOTD will take down this giveaway and replace it with another. Tomorrow is Saturday and thats the day Game Giveaway Of The Day appears on my blog with a new game offering.
